Mobile App

Overview

A customized Flutter mobile messenger built on the Matrix protocol for secure personal and team communication. The app combined real-time chat, group conversations, pinned messages, file and link previews, theme support, and bridge-based integrations such as Telegram and WhatsApp-related flows. My work focused on improving production UX quality, stabilizing important interaction flows, and making the app more consistent and reliable in day-to-day use. The product had a strong emphasis on polished UI, maintainable architecture, and communication-focused mobile experience.

My role

• Improved core chat UX, including pinned messages, file message UI, link previews, timestamps, icons, and theme-related behavior.
• Refactored and stabilized delete and remove flows for messages and groups, including confirmation UX and supporting tests.
• Fixed chat and profile inconsistencies such as stale names or avatars, read-status issues, and member-flow edge cases.
• Improved login and bridge-related flows by replacing raw exceptions with localized user-facing errors and hardening integration behavior.
